President Trump Commits to Address Delphi Salaried Retirees Pensions

This post is updated as this situation and media reactions develop.
On October 22, 2020 the White House announced Presidential action to address help for Delphi Salaried Pensions — President Trump issued a Presidential Memorandum directing his Administration to review the Obama administration’s decision to terminate the pension plans of Delphi Corporation’s non-union and salaried workers.  The President's Memorandum directs the Secretary of the Treasury, the Secretary of Commerce, and the Secretary of Labor (together, the governing body of the PBGC), to review the Delphi salaried retirees' pension matter within 90 days.
This work has begun, but we are still waiting for a report back from the three Secretaries.  We are still hopeful that the Secretaries' response will be received before the change of Administration on January 20, but we believe that the Presidential Memorandum of October 22 will remain in effect, and will provide a starting point for a dialog with the new Administration.  We were heartened to hear President-Elect Biden show his familiarity with our situation, and express a desire to have our pension situation corrected (see post below).
