Congressman Turner: Request to PGBC Inspector General: Confusion Around Issuance of Benefit Determination Letters

Washington, D.C. December 9 2015. U.S. Congressman Mike Turner (R-OH-10) has again demonstrated active support for Delphi salaried retirees through involvement in the debacle of confusing information coming from the PBGC.
The PBGC has provided retirees with differing and inconsistent information when providing Benefit Determination Letters, and has responded differently to individual retirees' requests for validating detail to enable them to evaluate the PBGC Determinations. Rep. Turner outlined these issues and inconsistencies in a letter today to the PBGC Inspector General, Mr. Robert Westbrooks.
UPDATE February 20, 2016 - PBGC Inspector General Robert Westbrooks responded to Rep. Mike Turner with a report of the PBGC's conduct and behavior through their inconsistent provision of pension information to Delphi salaried retirees.
Rep. Mike Turner has repeatedly and consistently fought for the Delphi salaried retirees who had their pensions unjustly terminated in the wake of the federal government’s bailout of General Motors.
