We have great news to share with those who enrolled in The Hartford Life Insurance program.  Enough retirees enrolled to establish the DSRA Life Insurance program! 

More detailed information will be provided soon, but here are a few things to keep in mind at this time:

• The guaranteed issue amount (up to $50,000) of coverage will begin May 1^st, 2010
• You should receive your first invoice from Marsh around the 15^th of May.  For this time only, your first billing cycle will be for both May and June premiums on the same invoice due to the timing of this program start date. 
• If you elected coverage that requires medical underwriting ($60,000 - $100,000), your personal health application from The Hartford will be mailed to you on April 12^th.  You will have 60 days to return the application.  Your increased coverage amount will go into effect the first day of the month after you receive notification that you have been approved.  In the interim, or if denied the additional coverage amount, you will have $50,000 in life insurance coverage.
