PBGC will be rolling out Phase II “Love Letters” effective February 1, 2010.

The PBGC will be rolling out phase II of their estimates (we call them “Love Letters”) to another 2,900 DSRA retirees on February 1, 2010, EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2010.  Those affected in this phase will be retirees under 62 with supplements.  We are expecting that these reduced estimates in this phase will be staggering.

The DSRA has provided assumptions of pension losses in the table below, they are huge!  Again, we need to collate the data from your PBGC Pension Reduction Notices.  We have created a survey to gather pertinent information critical to our legal success.  Please keep this by you, and upon receiving your pension reduction notice and estimate, please complete this survey at:

This survey is for members receiving Reduction Notices on/after 1/26/2010.  If you already provided your Pension Reduction information to the previous survey you should not enter it again.

Please note that the PBGC is still rolling out Reduction Notices and will continue to do so until any final resolution of our pending court action, the continuing issuance of Pension Reduction Notices in no way dilutes the validity of our court actions, and in no way dilutes the potential of positive results.  Nevertheless, we need to collate data, and be prepared for any twist or turn in events.
